Charity Shop Gold or Garbage disassemble the sand buggy Meyers Manx

Two cheap toy cars in my Charity Shop trawl today. If anybody can identify the manufacturers and the age of either of them I would like to know. Jag Betty has researched the sand buggy for me and found it's a 1970s Bump n go mystery Meyers Manx dune Buggy made by Japanese firm Taiyo. Now I understand what that metal lever is for. You put it on a table and the idea it that lever detects the edge of a table and stops the car and makes it turn away from the edge.
