Puppy Dumped In Snow And Left To Die

Sadly, by the time volunteers got to the scene, one of the puppies had already died. The other puppy, Joey, miraculously survived but definitely not for for much longer, as it was below freezing temperatures outside. Eight-month old Joey was rushed to the ER and doctors discovered he has demodex mange, as well as a terrible skin infection. Not only could he barely open his eyes from them being so swollen and infected, but his hairless body was also so itchy and caked with infections. Joey was beyond malnourished and ate like he had never been fed an ounce of food before.The vet put him on oral antibiotics and eye salve, as well as a course of expensive Bravetco and Benadryl. Sweet Joey is starved for affection, and wags his tail non-stop until he is pet. He has a long road to recovery and is learning what it means to be loved and cared for.
