#dantirels #linocut #picasso Linocut example using the reduction method - 3 colours Picasso still life with a lamp. I've always really like the Picasso linocut series and have wanted to film this process for a while. Unlike some of my previous demos, for this, you will need to invest in some materials which will enable you to progress. All the products used are available online or from any good art supplier, you will also find many linoprinting kits available that will provide you with all the materials you need. Important : ONLY USE BLOCK PRINTING INK (paint will NOT work) Materials ; Lino sheet, Lino cutting tool with various blades, Scola water-based block printing ink (black, white, raw sienna) pallet knife, roller, glass or perspex sheet, 220gsm card. I haven't done any lino printing for a while so this is all new to me. Mistakes have been made along the way and the end result is not perfect, but this is such an enjoyable process and I recommend having a try for yourself. I will update this with a list of materials and a description of the process. Monoprinting booklet is now back in print and available from the website. https://www.dantirels.co.uk/shop/monoprinting-booklet-1 Ebook now available: Monoprinting guide to basic techniques https://www.amazon.com/Monoprinting-guide-techniques-Dan-Tirels-ebook/dp/B086R3Z8P7/ref= sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Dan+Tirels&qid=1586030044&sr=8-1 Website: https://www.dantirels.co.uk/ Instagram http://instagram.com/dan_tirels Facebook https://www.facebook.com/dan.tirels Twitter https://www.twitter.com/@ dantirels Pinterest http://pinterest.com/dantirels
