Embryo space colonization is a theoretical interstellar space colonization concept that involves sending a robotic mission to a habitable terrestrial planet, dwarf planet, minor planet or natural satellite transporting frozen early-stage human embryos or the technological or biological means to create human embryos.
Although this involves quite a lot of speculation Embryo Space Colonization may be a potential tool in the adaptation of humans, and could possibly be the key that will allow us to inhabit the cosmos.recently the idea of android parenting and robotic care seem far-fetched, but equally trends in that direction are developing. If the reliability of the machinery can be assured which isn't a small task in itself, then missions of centuries to millennia can be contemplated and hopefully carried out.

@ninjadolphin018 years agoMy problem with it is could these potential colonists actually be raised into functioning adults without the presence of other human beings. 3

@luboskocman2 years agoNobody seems to be questioning whether that wasn' t our case as well: what would be the clues that robots left, in case that somebody tries to cover it:

@frederickthegreat20198 years agoThe idea of a solar system being full of my reproduction is amazing. If we tear up the treaties for expansion on space then things like this could happen.

@bradm7777778 years agoI wonder if this would be considered ethicallyat least for option b and c, you are essentially choosing a humans life before they are born. Robotic parents and a very confined quarters (or hostile planet) would be pretty shitty compared to life on earth for something as simple as, say, a mining colony or research facility. What if the embryo grows up and decides it doesn' t want to be a miner or researcher? It may be a bit cruel to force that on somebody. If it' s humanities last hope though, i think it' s a pretty good idea. ...Expand1

@jaymehigginbotham94585 years agoMt question is who is going to voluntarily give up their eggs for science? If this ever happens it will be war unless these a gmo' s!
