Odisha Rain: Heavy Rainfall Causes Waterlogging in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack | IMD Issues ‘Red’ Alert

Heavy rainfall continues to lash several districts of Odisha. India Meteorological Department issued a ‘Red Alert’ for heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts. Several areas of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack were waterlogged due to heavy downpours. According to IMD, “the downpour was due to the influence of a low-pressure area over the north Bay of Bengal”. The weather agency says that this will move north-northwestwards.
